Alter The Press! Presents: Kiss Corona

With catchy songs like 'The Danger Of Falling In Love' and 'Doctor, Doctor', its clear Nottingham pop-rock band Kiss Corona have a skill for writing poppy hooks, along with a favourable rock sound. Influenced by the likes of All Time Low and The All-American Rejects, the four-piece have added a touch Britishness to genre, as well inducing a heavy pop sound too.

With shows along Summerlin set to take place this month, as well as a new single in 'The Danger Of Falling In Love', Kiss Corona are set to start the new year on a high, as their style is one that is easily accessible and instantly leaves you hooked.

Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
Kiss Corona: ATP readers should check us out as we like to think we're offering something a little different to what you would usually expect from a pop rock band. We still have the light hearted bouncy anthems but we inject it with some British charm and another shot of pop! Unlike other bands in the genre, we're not afraid to really embrace the pop side of our sound, because of this we can give each of our songs a different flavour, while still keeping in the same style. Having spent our time carefully crafting a great, tight, fun live performance we really know how to put on a show. Make sure you come check us out on our UK tour in December.

Album Review: Kiss Corona - Look To The Stars

Since forming in June earlier this year, Nottinghamshire's Kiss Corona quickly got to work on this 3-track EP, 'Look To The Stars'. For a new band, it proves to be impressive with 'Underage Is All The Rage' opening the EP. A track with a tight band performance and good mix vocal harmonies. Add to this a strong chorus and you are left with a promising band.

Next is 'Figure Out' is an upbeat pop/rock number, that is favourable as the 4-piece show they know how to hold a worthy number. Whereas closing track, 'Never Letting My Dreams Go' keeps the momentum going, with sharp guitars and an overall impressive performance.

On the whole, Kiss Corona might not sound too different like a few bands out there. Nevertheless this effort is highly favourable and shows a band with plenty of potential, as they have quickly crafted the skill and knowledge, on how to write a decent pop-rock song. I would recommend keeping my eye on these, as they have a promising future.
