Album Review: Latin For Truth - We Are Sick Of Not Having The Courage To Be Absolute Nobodies EP

Scottsboro 5-piece Latin For Truth's latest EP, 'We Are Sick Of Not Having The Courage To Be Absolute Nobodies EP' is 3 tracks of some of the fastest, catchiest pop-punk/punk rock you will hear all year. The bands aim of the EP is to remind people of bands such as Fugazi and Operation Ivy.

'88 Says' blasts through at a furious speed but at the same time contains its structure along plenty of energy and passions. Whilst 'Natural Tailor of Natural Joy' steadies things down a little before bursting ingo punk rock guitars and a speedy drum beat. Closing track 'Natural Tailor of Natural Joy' sees the bands more hardcore punk side coming out, with angry vocals filled with angst and passion, which is all backed up with a storming skate punk rock drums.

In the course of just 8 minutes, Latin For Truth manage to impress with their loose yet acceptable style, along with vocal harmonies fitting in and playing off each other well. The bands aim of reminding people of thier influences works is achieved but only to an extent. However it is refreshing that bands like Latin For Truth and are keeping punk alive. However unfortunatly bands like The Wonder Years do just a bit better.
