Album Review: Die! Chihuahua Die! - Bitch Songs

Die! Chihuahua Die! sound like Gallows having almighty scrap with Every Time I Die, as 'Bitch Songs' is 25 minutes of rough, garage punk at its finest. It's fast, fierce and dirty with tracks like 'Knife Sex' and 'Stuck Pig' throwing you in the deep end and are full of deep, sweaty riffs.

From start to finish 'Bitch Songs' is just one big, drunken hardcore party with manic screams, thrashing drums and more. Although despite the bands ferocious pace and style, 'Happy Song' will get stuck in your head with its psychopathic line of "what do when the room is one fire, you let people burn" and the track manages to stand out from what else is nine tracks of fast-paced hardcore punk rock.

Admittedly Die! Chihuahua Die!'s style might not be for everyone's taste but their crazy, chaotic approach is pulled off well. Add to this the bands tight musicianship, you're left with a admirable record that could become the soundtrack for grungy, frantic moshpits.

3.5/5
