"I got back yesterday from my writing trip to LA, it was definitely the best four days of my year so far. I was writing with my good friend, Busbee. He’s one of those people who is so creatively driven that simply being around him is inspiring. We wrote a song that I’m very proud of, I can’t wait for everyone to hear it. I actually through a shout to Brazil in the lyrics. I was at the House Of Blues on Sunset for the AP Tour on Tuesday, it was great to see so many friends I haven’t seen in a while. The funny thing about touring with someone is once you’ve toured together you form a bond, it’s like going to war together.

Will, Pat and I are all moving out to LA in June. I absolutely cannot wait. Don’t get me wrong, I love Virginia, and we’ll definitely be back, but there’s something that feels so right about just picking up my life and hauling it out West.

As of right now My Favorite Highway is continuing to write new songs. We’re taking our time writing this next record, we want every single song to be amazing and we’re not going to cut any corners. If you thought the last record was great then I think this next record will take you to an entirely different level. The past few months have been kind of slow for us, there’s been a lot that we’ve had to figure out, but we’re back on track and moving in the right direction. 2010 is going to be a very exciting year for My Favorite Highway, I’ll be keeping you posted.
