Live Review: Brandon Flowers - London Relentless Garage - 08/09/10

When you’re the front man of one of the biggest indie bands going, putting out a solo record is a sure shot guarantee to be a success.

Tonight, Brandon Flowers performs to a packed out crowd at London's Relentless Garage and has the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. Despite his new solo record, ‘Flamingo’, being out for a matter of days, it didn't take long for fans to be able to sing along to the majority of the songs.

The set list is predominantly ‘Flamingo’ based but Flowers manages to treat the crowd to a fantastic cover of Elvis’, ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’, which goes down as a crowd pleaser.

The night is drawn to a close with Flowers performing a stripped-down acoustic version of The Killers' hit, 'When We Were Young', which goes down a storm.

This is only a side-project from Brandon Flowers’ day job in The Killers, so fans should really take in the opportunity to see him perform solo (especially in such small venues) before he decides to go back to work full-time.

Set list:

'On The Floor'
'Crossfire'
'Magdalena'
'Bette Davis Eyes'
'Jilted Lovers And Broken Hearts'
'Was It Something I Said'
'Hard Enough'
'Are You Lonesome Tonight?'
'Losing Touch'
'Only The Young'
'Swallow It'
'Playing With Fire'
'When You Were Young'
