Man Overboard UK Tour Blog - Day 1 + 2 (London + Manchester)

Currently taking the UK by storm, in possibly the best pop-punk tour of the year, Man Overboard's own Justin Collier will be writing a tour blog, for Alter The Press!

Here's what went down since they arrived in the UK on Tuesday (December 7th).

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7th - LONDON
UK!!!! We were slightly bummed when our Andover show fell through and we were left with no show a day or two before we left. Adrian from City Of Gold Records (the UK's finest) set up a last minute show at the Grosvners in London. I had been to this venue before on a previous tour. We got there and loaded it and sorted all of our merch that we got from Awesome Merchandise. They did a great job. Definitely check them out for your merch needs! Adrian brought us some pasta which was good seeing as there was no food near there venue. Cannot thank him and his friend Miles for all their help with the show. Anyways - LONDON! you fucking rule. I can't believe that many people showed up on such short notice. Seriously awesome, we appreciate it more than you could possibly understand. Its amazing to fly across the ocean and have that many people come see you play. We will hopefully see you guys in London on Saturday either at Banquet Records, The Fighting Cocks or the possible house show we might be playing. It was also announced on this day that we signed to Rise Records (same for Transit). We are very excited about that!

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8th - MANCHESTER
So the promoter for this evening, Manchester let us know that the show had sold out and that only 10 more tickts would be released at the door. Fucking awesome! Sorry if anyone got turned away. The show was great. The local band, Make Me King was cool. Their singer has a great voice. All Or Nothing killed it. Love those guys - great people, great band. Everyone went off for Transits' set and Zac sang some of "For The World." Our set was amazing fun. One of the funner sets we have had this year. Thanks to all you Manchesterians for that. Big up to Fiona for her help, Ryan for coming to hang and my old friend Louise for coming and visiting with me. Staying at the house of some random girls we met outside the Retro Bar. They have Wi-Fi and some sweet DVDs. Thanks to them too! They have a cute cat. Tomorrow we play Glasgow, Scotland. I have heard the roads are shit, so we are leaving early as fuck to get there on time!!!
