Exclusive Tour Blog Special: South By South West - O'Brother (Part Three)

As part of our on going series of exclusive Tour Blogs, Alter The Press has been working with a handful of bands to produce various South By South West tour blogs.

Atlanta, Georgia's O'Brother have given us their third and final update from the Austin, TX-based festival. This installment sees the band telling us about their time at SXSW and more.

Words by Michael Martens.

"Well, SXSW is over for us, and we are now home in Atlanta, GA, recovering from what was a truly unforgettable week.

After Thursday, we spent much of our time hoping from show to show, trying to catch as many amazing bands as we could (while squeezing some interviews and press stuff here and there.)

Some of our highlights include Colour Revolt, This Will Destroy You, Appleseed Cast (my personal favorite), Touche Amore, Native, Dignan, and Sainthood Reps. We are beyond blessed to be able to call many of those artists our friends, and we are so proud to be a part of an amazing festival like SXSW with the rest of them.

We want to give a huge thank you to The Rocketboys, for opening their house to us. It was a blast coming home at 4am each night and crashing in a room with 15 other people.

Early Sunday morning, we took off for Little Rock, AR, specifically Juanitas. This was our last show on this run with Death On Two Wheels and it was really a blast. The staff at the venue were amazing and good times were had. A special thank you to Silent Waits The Archer for playing again. You guys were great.

After a long over night drive, we arrived safely to our home around 12pm on Monday. The rest of the day was a blur, are it was nice to climb in my bed and sleep for WAY to long.

Thank you all for reading. Thank you to Alter The Press. Thank you to anyone who came out to these shows, we will see you all very very soon. Your responses to our new songs were overwhelming and we are beyond stoked to know that you guys are as excited to hear them as we are to show them to you.

Cheers!

Michael/O'Brother"
