EXCLUSIVE: Veara UK Tour Blog - Part One

Currently touring the UK with We Are The Ocean, Bradley Wyrosdick of Atlanta, Georgia's own Veara checked in to tell us what has been going down so far on their travels across the country.

"Hey y'all!

Brad from Veara here reporting in on our Euro/UK run for AlterThePress.com. We just recently got off a mainland European tour with swedish skate punk legends Millencolin! It was a very awesome experience for us seeing as they were a band we recognized from our teen days. Especially since it was a 10th anniversary tour for their "Pennybridge Pioneers" album.

We hit up Holland, Austria, Switzerland, most all of Germany, Czech Republic for the first time, and Belgium for the Groezrock Fest. Speaking of Groezrock, that was our first European festival we've ever done and it was amazing! The best show of the tour at the moment. It was an unreal experience for us and a dream come true. We thank everyone who came out to sing along, stage dive, or to just check us out. The Czech Republic was also very awesome. It was our first time playing there and we appreciate all the kids who came to see us there. Last but not least it was great to be able to open the Monster Bash for our pals in The Blackout, Thursday, Saves The Day, Descendents, and NOFX! Millencolin was also on the show.

So after some sad goodbyes to Millencolin and our new German pals in AndiOliPhillip (the opening support in the German shows) we made a 12 hour drive from Bremen, Germany to Cardiff, UK to meet up on our short run with We Are The Ocean, Lower Than Atlantis, and Don Broco. We are on day 3 now about to leave Jon from Alter The Press's house to head to Manchester. We played our London show last night and it was so awesome! We can't wait to come back.

That's all for now, I'll give you guys another shorter update for the rest of the tour via AlterThePress.com. Huge thanks to Jon, Jamie, and Matt for being so involved with Veara. Talk soon!

Brad"
