Albums That Changed My Life: Cassadee Pope

This week's slice of "Albums That Changed My Life" goodness comes from Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday!

Whilst the band is taking a break from music at this time, Cassadee is hard at work on an upcoming solo project and will be embarking on her first acoustic tour this January/February.

Michelle Branch - The Spirit Room

This was such an influential album for me as far as song writing and vocal stylings goes. I've always loved her songs and how simple they are. To me, a good song is a mixture of undeniable melodies and relatable lyrics. She has many of those on that album!

Avril Lavigne - Let Go

Avril helped me be comfortable with being an edgy girl in such a male driven industry. She always had such a no nonsense personality and lyrics. Although she had that tough exterior, some of her lyrics were vulnerable and innocent. Her songs were always insanely catchy as well.

Blink-182 - Take Off Your Pants And Jacket

This was the band that made me want to play in bands in the first place. This album has not one skip track on it. It's the kind of album that makes you laugh when you look back on when you first listened to it. They're my favorite band of all time!

The Spill Canvas - One Fell Swoop

This isn't exactly the most influential album for me but it is so damn good, I had to list it. One of the things I gravitate towards the most are the drums. They're so fluid and groovy I almost forget to sing along to the song! That's not to say the melodies aren't catchy as hell. This album never gets old for me.
