December 28th, 2011 (Christmas 2011)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! This week I am writing about what I ate over the Holiday weekend. Let's first start off with Christmas Eve.

My family's tradition is to get together Christmas Eve night and we eat and exchange gifts. I look forward to this a lot because of the food (of course). We always order two party trays. One is a nugget tray from Chick-Fil-A.

And we order chicken wings from Wingstop.

We also make sure to have plenty of sauce for dipping. We had ranch, bleu cheese, Chick-Fil-A sauce, buffalo, honey mustard, etc.

My grandma cut up some vegetables such as celery, bell peppers, etc for dipping in a homemade ranch sauce that my mom made.

My Aunt Tena made some sausage balls w/ a hint of texas Pete and my Aunt Angie and I made some pigs in a blanket. These were great!

My Aunt Tena also made her "meat dip". I can't tell you everything that's in it but I can tell you this stuff is addicting!

My Mom made buffalo chicken dip. Holy cow this stuff is so good! Once you stop eating it, it's thought to stop! It's made with cream cheese, chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch, and shredded cheese on top.

Our desserts consisted of a Red Velvet cake and a pecan and apple pie made by my Aunt Angie.

Here is a look at one of the plates I ate with all this good food!

It was all so good! Now onto Christmas!

On Christmas morning it is a tradition for my Mom to make breakfast after we open up our gifts from "Santa Clause".

We had eggs, sausage, and biscuits with butter and jelly. It's a great way to start your Christmas day!

Later that afternoon my family also gets together for Christmas lunch. We pretty much have the same thing we eat for Thanksgiving (see my first blog) except we add a ham and some potato salad to the mix.

On my plate I had fried Turkey, ham, dressing, Mac and cheese, green beans, potato salad, and squash casserole.

All that was homemade. My mom, aunt Angie, Aunt Tena, and me all helped to make an amazing Christmas lunch! I hope you all enjoyed your Holiday with some good food the way my family and I did!
