February 22nd, 2012 - Carrabba's Italian Grill

I'm thinking Italian for lunch today!

Recently my family and I went to Carrabba's Italian Grill for a great lunch. In fact Carrabba's is one of my Mom and Nana's favorite places to go out to eat at! There probably isn't one thing on the menu that I don't like. Everything there is so good! My family loves to start off with the Shrimp Scampi appetizer. It's shrimp in garlic with a white wine and lemon butter sauce. It's served with some very nice toasted french bread.

This stuff is addicting! Just try to eat one shrimp out of that sauce or better yet, a shrimp on top of a piece of the toasted french bread smothered in sauce! It's very addicting and very delicious!

Next up is either a soup or a salad. All of their salads are very good as well as their soups. There is one soup I've been getting every time I go lately and that is their Tomato Basil soup.

This is easily one of my favorite tomato soups Ive ever had. I like to top it with the freshly grated cheese. The soup itself has an excellent flavor but I love cheese in soup. It makes it even better in my opinion!

For my main course I decided to go with a classic from the Carrabba's menu. I went with the Chicken Bryan.

The Chicken Bryan is a grilled chicken breast topped with Goat Cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and a lemon butter sauce.

In my opinion the best part about the Chicken Bryan is the goat's cheese! In fact, I order extra when I order the Chicken Bryan because it is that good. If you've never had goat cheese you should give it a try. It's very creamy in texture. It literally melts in your mouth. It has a "stronger" flavor then some cheeses but not too over whelming at all. The lemon butter sauce on the chicken is the same sauce from the shrimp scampi appetizer. I love the scampi sauce so of course I love it on a nicely grilled chicken breast Yum!

Carrabba's also has some EXCELLENT desserts to choose from. My family and I however were all very stuffed from the free bread, appetizer, soup and salad, and of course our main meals! If you ever go to Carrabba's and save some room for dessert I do highly recommend the "Chocolate Dream". It is OUT OF THIS WORLD!
