Albums That Changed My Life: Nate Ruess (fun.)

This week's "Albums That Changed My Life" contributor is none other than Nate Ruess of fun!

The band are currently touring across the country in support of their stunning new album, "Some Nights", which recently debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200.

Wilco - A Ghost Is Born

My favorite album to come out yet in the 2000's. It challenged me to be a better songwriter, and also brought back my love for the guitar solo.

Weezer - Pinkerton

If not for this album, I wouldn't be making music. Not only did it inspire me to start a band, but it put me in a room with my old band mate Sam [Means, The Format]. "El Scorcho" remains my favorite song ever.

Fleetwood Mac - Tusk

I went on a 4 year bender where this was the only album I listened to. I also think those years were the most crucial years of learning how to write.

Van Morrison - Astral Weeks

Anytime I feel uninspired and dejected, I put this on. It calms me down, and also inspires me to want to make music forever, if only for the opportunity to cover one of these songs live.
