Sparks The Rescue Frontman Injured On Stage In NYC

Sparks The Rescue frontman Alex Roy was injured on stage at the band's show in New York City last night (August 27th). Roy released the following statement:

"Getting a lot of questions as to what happened last night when I passed out on stage after the bass guitar hit my head. Well, when I first got hit in the third song I realized it hurt like hell but I just thought at the time It was just a bumped to the head. 45 seconds later I grabbed the back of my hair/head and my hand was covered in blood, I guess I freaked a bit and fainted at the site of how much I was bleeding. I was escorted of stage where I went through 4 towels covered in blood, and had paramedics come because the venue was concerned. I wanted to finish the show but was advised if I didn’t keep my heart beat down I could bleed out bad. Still hurts a bit but it stopped bleeding around 2am! Playing Maryland tonight, going to keep it pretty chill on stage till it heals. And I our new EP came out today, Pick on up if you have $5 laying around."
