ATP! Presents: Brittany Has An Appetite (January 9th, 2013)
Anyone who follows drummer Brittany Harrell (@brittanyharrell) of Georgia's pop-punk outfit, Veara on Twitter would know that her account is comprised of talk about WWE, music and things 99% food related. With that said, we invited Brittany to be a part of the Alter The Press team where each week, she will be writing a weekly blog talking about the best meals she has consumed and letting the world know about her love of food!
My town of Augusta just recently got our very own "Which Wich". What is "Which Wich" exactly? It's a sandwich place that sells all kinds of customizable sandwiches. They have every meat from ham, to turkey, to chicken, to beef, and everything in between. You can also order your sandwich toasted or not toasted, white or wheat, or for the carb conscious you can have your "wich" bread hollowed out or have your sandwich served in a bowl without the bread.
The coolest thing about Which Wich is how you order your sandwich. When you walk in the door there is a wall with a menu board and then under that menu board is paper bags labeled either turkey, ham, beef, chicken, etc. You choose your bag based on what type of meat or sandwich you want. There are red sharpies located right next to the paper bags. You use these to customize your sandwich on your paper bag. You pick your bread, how big of bread, toasted or not toasted, all the toppings, including double meat, do you want to add bacon, double cheese, condiments, etc. Then at the bottom once you are happy with your choices you write your name and then head to the register to pay and put in your order for your sandwich!
I knew right what I was goin to try the moment I walked in and looked at the menu board. I saw "Buffalo Chicken" and I was sold! I grabbed the paper bag under the chicken category and went to customizing my sandwich!

I chose the Buffalo chicken sandwich, on wheat, I skinnied my wich (thats where they hollow out the bread), I got it toasted, and I got the regular size, the 7".
Now onto the toppings! I selected double cheeses and got Pepper Jack and Blue Cheeses. For my spreads and sauces I chose the Buffalo sauce, I skipped the mayonnaise and mustard, I chose the spicy ranch dressing under dressings, I chose Red Onions, Iceberg Lettuce, Pickles, Jalapenos, Oregeno, Salt and Pepper to finish!
I was pretty hungry when I ordered my sandwich and I started to think, is this going to fill me up? Should I have gotten a bigger size sandwich? I am glad I didnt go for a bigger sandwich because when they called my name and I went to pick it up, This sandwich was HUGE! Not only was it fairly big in size but it was so heavy. They dont skimp on the meat and toppings.
First bite into my sandwich I was in heaven. Everything was perfect and it was made exactly to my specification. They serve your sandwich wrapped up and in the bag that you marked. Very cool! I will definitely be returning to Which Wich. A lot of my friends have been telling me to try this wich and try that with. The Buffalo Chicken was so good that it's gonna be very hard for me to switch up. Maybe one day, haha.
