January 23rd, 2013 - Shane's Rib Shack

Shane's Rib Shack easily one of my most favorite Barbecue restaurants to hit up. I've told you all about a couple of the items there before, but today I have a new item from there that I am straight hooked on right now. It's the "Half-Chicken". I've been going to Shane's just to order this item 1-2 times a week. It's that good!

A Half-Chicken is pretty much exactly what it says... It's a half a chicken. The chicken is cut down the middle so on your plate you get one wing, one breast, one thigh, and one leg.

The Half Chicken has been slow smoked. So when you go to pick up a piece of it to eat it, it's falling off the bone. You effortlessly remove the meat from all the bones. It's also so amazingly juicy and the skin tastes so good! I always take two little side cups and squirt some of Shane's original barbecue sauce in one and then take their hot barbecue sauce and squirt it in the other. Dippin' the Half-Chicken in the Barbecue sauces is the icing on the cake. It rules.

I've lately also been hooked on Shane's baked beans as a side. With the Half-Chicken meal you get two sides and I've been goin for double baked beans lately.

Their beans flavor is awesome. Sweet and melt in your mouth rad! I add a little bit of Texas Pete Hot Sauce to mine to give them a little extra kick.

One bite of this Half-Chicken and you will fully understand why I am so hooked on it right now. I promise you it's that good!
