ATP! 2013: Artist Of The Year - Cassadee Pope

We’ve seen her as the front-woman of Hey Monday, we’ve seen her struggle for a solo career, and we’ve seen her blossom as a rising country star. The last year has brought nothing but success for our in-house guidance counselor, Cassadee Pope, and that’s why we have chosen her as our 'Artist of the Year' for 2013.

After winning season three of The Voice in December 2012, she has managed to sign with Republic Nashville, release her debut album Frame by Frame, and hit number one on the Billboard Top Country chart and the iTunes country charts. The first single “Wasting All These Tears” went Gold in October with an impressive 1.7 million downloads sold. She starred in her very own reality series on CMT, also titled Frame by Frame, which documented her first radio tour, her performance at the CMAs, and her summer tour with Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry.

“People think you win The Voice and then your life changes like magic, but you really gotta keep working,” Pope says on the last episode.

Despite the concern of how the pop/rock vocalist would transition into the country industry, her hard work and determination has not gone to waste. With the help of her new country family – especially her mentor from The Voice, Blake Shelton – Pope has really found her true calling. Her confidence glows, no matter if you see her on stage or posing on a red carpet. Her vocals and stage performance have grown dramatically, to the point where it’s impossible that this voice is coming out of that petite 24-year-old. It’s a no brainer why she’s our Artist of the Year.

We couldn’t be more appreciative for her contributions to the website and we couldn’t be more delighted to see her reach all of this well-deserved achievement. Congratulations to all of her success in 2013, and here’s to a more successful 2014.
