Simple Plan To Become First Band To Perform In Outer Space

Simple Plan are set to be kitted out in pads, helmets and foil balloons to play their first ever concert at zero gravity next month.

The Canadian pop/rock quintet will play an acoustic set in outer space on May 1st, that will be streamed live via YouTube.

According to Idobi, Lefebvre seems completely confident in the expedition, joking that, “David [Desrosiers] screams in his sleep. Or talks backwards. I think he might be an alien.” Space has often been a subject of discussion for the band – the tongue-in-cheek 2002 hit “My Alien” is reportedly about Comeau’s long-time alien girlfriend.
