One Direction's 'FOUR' On Course to Sell More Than 420,000 Copies in First Week

One Direction's new album FOUR is on course to debut at No.1 on the Billboard 200 next week.

Industry sources suggest the album could sell over 420,000 copies in the week ending Nov. 23. If FOUR sells as expected, it would secure the second-largest sales week of 2014, behind only Taylor Swift's 1.287 million bow with 1989.

FOUR was released on Nov. 17 through SYCO/Columbia Records, and is the group's fourth studio release. It follows the No. 1-debuting albums Up All Night (released in 2012), Take Me Home (2012) and Midnight Memories (2013). The latter album arrived atop the list with 546,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan -- the largest sales week for One Direction.
