Album Review: Bury Your Dead - Mosh N' Roll
Hey Myke Terry, no offense bro and no hard feelings, but Mat Bruso just handles his business better. Sure, you were front and center with mic in hand for two pretty good records in 2008’s self-titled and 2009’s ‘It’s Nothing Personal,’ but with Bruso (who last fronted BYD on 2006’s ‘Beauty and the Breakdown’), back in the fold, reclaiming said mic from your grasp for Bury Your Dead’s latest ‘Mosh N’ Roll,’ it sounds the way Bury Your Dead is supposed to sound – straight up pissed, hard-hitting and thoroughly uncompromising. Listen, ‘Mosh N’ Roll’ offers up a lot of quality tunes, roaring affairs brimming with piercing guitars that hit like a slab of concrete (‘Bluebird,’ ‘Deadeye Dick’), but the problem is, things tend to get a bit long in the tooth. You can really only listen to the same song once, and it’s clear that you can only stretch the same structure so far, which is why some songs, while good, fail to make a lasting impact, and eventually get lost in the shuffle (‘Jailbird,’ ‘Slapstick’). ‘Mosh N’ Roll’ also plays host to some inconsistent songwriting from Bruso, and while he’s never really been known for his penmanship, those inconsistencies allow the good to cover up the bad (see opening bro-down ‘Slaughterhouse Five’ overshadows the personal, emotional outpouring of subsequent track ‘Nothing Is Lost Save Honor’). ‘Mosh N’ Roll’ wears thin after just a few spins, so you best prepare by dusting off those classic Bury Your Dead records in your collection like ‘Cover Your Tracks’ and ‘Beauty.’3/5

Bury Your Dead Set To Film New Video
Bury Your Dead will be filming a new music video for their song 'Slaughterhouse 5' on June 19th at Frankie's in Toledo, OH. The band is having an open casting call at 7 PM the day of the shoot for fans to come out and be a part of the video, requirements are as follows:
1. You must dress as a cowboy or cowgirl
2. You want to get crazy and help create a Roadhouse themed video
3. You like to party
In addition, the band is also looking for a Patrick Swayze look-a-like along with various "goons" to act out fight scenes and people who are experts in country line dancing.

Bury Your Dead Vocalist Announces Departure
Frontman Myke Terry has left Bury Your Dead after contract problems between Terry and the band's label, Mediaskare Records. Myke Terry posted the following message:
"After spending over three years with Bury Your Dead, becoming a family, and almost losing our lives together I would think that we would all have each other's backs better than this. I never thought someone who hadn't sweat, bled, or cried with us would have the power to dictate the inner workings of our band. I'd like to thank everyone that bought a Bury Your Dead CD, came to a show, or played with us for making the past few years of my life so amazing and I look forward to my future as a solo artist. I'm sure everyone who has ever chanted 'bring Back Bruso' is now stoked for his return."

Bury Your Dead New Album Update
Bury Your Dead will enter the studio next month to begin recording their next album for Victory Records.Guitarist Brendan "Slim" MacDonald said:
"So we have been busier than hell the last 4 months since that time we decided to flip our van into a ditch and go on tour a week later. Anyways, we are finishing up writing for our next Victory release as we speak. To be honest, this record has been a long time coming we have been on the label for 5 years released 4 records and this is it.
I say it every time we go into the studio: "this is the best thing ever that we have ever written ever and it's meaningful because and ever and stuff," but let's be honest; this year for us hasn't been anything short of a shitty coin toss. Between the awesome tours and heading overseas twice there were a fair amount of remedial bullshit to have to get over, and I promise you will hear about most of it some how or another on the record.
In between writing riffs I have been spending the majority of my time using a chainsaw to kill things that want to get in my grill area in gears of war 2. I mean, what a better way to be brootal than chainsawing someone in the face a lot. Ok, there's a few things but thats all I've got. It's winter and it's cold out.
This record has it all. You will be able to circle pit in your bedroom and makeout with your girlfriend/boyfriend to it! Best of both worlds, I know. I mean, if you're into that kind of thing than you'll like it I guess.
We start recording in a few weeks, so heads up for a lot more coming from us on here in the coming weeks boys and girls."

Boston metal band Bury Your Dead have been in a serious van accident whislt on tour in Canada. Nevertheless the band managed to avoid serious injury, with only guitarist Brendan "Slim" MacDonald is to have surgery on a injured leg.
