Bassist Nate Mendel:
I was a bit of a pain in the ass to Jeremy and William. I had tried before, but thought it wouldn't harm our relationship too badly if I called and tried one more time. Next thing we know, we were playing our songs again and had a major tour booked. The biggest deciding factor for me in a reunion was the fact that it would be all original members.

According to this site, Sunny Day Real Estate will be playing the Murray Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 20th.
Jeremy Enigk Announces New Album
Jeremy Enigk has announced he will release a new album called "Ok Bear" on his own Lewis Hollow label in Febuary.The album was recorded outside Barcelona with a group of musicians introduced to Enigk by a mutual friend from Seattle and produced by Santi Garcia and Standstill's Ricky Falkner.
Concerning Enigk's old band, Sunny Day Real Estate, he told billboard.com, "We never really broke up -- we just said we'd take a break and that we'll get back to it when we're ready. But we've just not talked about it since. It may happen one day."
