Album Review: Beatsteaks - Limbo Messiah

2 years after its release Beatsteaks' 'Limbo Messiah' has received its UK release. Whilst the Germans might not leave a distinctive impression, the record still manages to have some favourable moments, with the fiery opener'As I Please' being one of these. An quick blast of loose Alt-Rock leads into 'Jane Became Insane', a catchy number with distinctive "nah-nah-nah-nah" adding a slight poppy twist on the bands sound.

The bands ability to shake it up a little is seen throughout, from the punk rock-esque 'Sharp, Cool & Collected' and 'Bad Brain' to summery indie rock of 'Meantime'. Whilst Cut Off The Top' offers a chilled out, swaying number which wouldn't sound out of place at a beach party.
