Geoff Rickly Commnets on United Nations
Geoff Rickly recently spoke to thepunksite.com about the legal problems facing his side project, United Nations.Rickly said: "It is totally annoying. I think the thing is, people just need to calm down and have a sense of humor. I mean, it's obviously parody. Nobody's buying our records thinking they're getting the United Nations. You don't buy a record and go "Oh, this is like twenty countries" – you know what I mean? "I don't even need to go to New York anymore to see the building because I have the record!" *laughs* So I just think it's sort of silly."

United Nations update (Glassjaw/Thursday project)
Geoff Rickly of Thursday and United Nations has said his latter band's debut album is set to stream on their myspace from tomorrow. In the interview with Alternative Press Rickly said "I think the whole album's gonna be posted then. I think.", when he was asked about a song being posted on the band's myspace.
Rickly also talks about how the band formed and the aim of having all the records recorded within a year.
"From the beginning, record all our records in one year, and not record ever again. So there's actually the first United Nations full-length, [which] is done. There's a 7" for Deathwish called Nevermind The Bombings...Here's Your Six Figures. There's a 10" called Music For Interchanging Parts. And then our second full-length is called Dark Side Of The UN. And that's all been recorded."
