Mark Hoppus Plans Solo Record and New +44 is Unlikely

Mark Hoppus has told MTV he is working on a solo record and that +44 is more or less over.

Hoppus said:

"Since late August of last year, I've been in the studio every week writing songs with the intention of putting out a record of my own. As of this week, I've got about 10 songs in various stages of completion and another 10 ideas that I still want to work on. ... By the way, this interview will be the first time many people at the label are going to hear about the possibility of me doing an album on my own. Hi, Interscope!"

The former Blink 182 bassist also mentioned that Travis Barker is working on a solo album and has been collarborating on Hoppus' record.
