Mabbitt posted the following message:

Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio) Announces Side-Project w/ Members of My Chemical Romance + AFI

Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio has announced details of a new side-project, Matt Skiba And The Sekrets which includes Jarrod Alexander of My Chemical Romance on drums and Hunter Burgan of AFI on bass.

Skiba made the following statement:

"Creating a record on my own and deciding who plays and how the songs were structured, it was fun to do. I love working with my band-mates in Alk3 but to make a rock record that was just mine was something that I wanted to do."

The band will release their debut album, 'Babylon', through Superball Music later this year.

Anthony Raneri (Bayside) Announces New "New Cathedrals" EP + Releases New Song

Tyler Carter has announced he is heading to Los Angeles to start recording his debut album.

Carter has also released the following video which contains a preview of new music to come.

Stacy King (Eisley) Announces New Solo Project + Debut Album

Stacy King of Eisley has announced details of a new solo project, Sucré and plans to release her debut album on April 10th.

King made the following statement:

"I'm proud to announce that today we are putting the very final touches on my first solo venture, which we are calling Sucré. The album was made over the course of two years with my friend Jeremy Larson and my husband Darren King. With no motive other than creating music that we would love to listen to, we emailed ideas back and forth, and met up at Jeremy's studio in Missouri as often as we could.

From the first time I heard Jeremy's wonderful string compositions, I wanted to sing to them. I felt that he was doing something really beautiful and unique, and it took me a while to get up the courage to ask him to collaborate with me. To my surprise, he was actually thinking the same thing. Among many things, Jeremy and I had this in common- my husband Darren was our favorite drummer. Thankfully, he was readily available. It was such a joy to get to write with him for the first time!

This record is very close to my heart, and I really tried to push myself musically and vocally. It's amazing how much you learn about yourself by making a record. It's certainly the most vulnerable I've ever felt making an album.

The album, comprised of 11 songs, will be available to everyone Tuesday, April 10th, 2012. The only thing left for me to do is decide on a name for the album- that's always the hardest part for me.

It's going to be tough for me to wait until April to let everyone hear this album. In the next couple of months I'll be making music videos for these songs and recording a new Eisley album with my siblings.

Anthony Raneri (Bayside) To Release Solo EP

Anthony Raneri of Bayside has announced he will release a solo EP next month.

Raneri made the following statement:

"This has been a long time in the making. I'm going to go into the studio and record four or five unreleased songs that I have written over the last three years. I always wanted these songs to see the light of day but I knew they wouldn't work for Bayside."

Guests collaborators included are Steve Choi (RX Bandits), Davey Warsop (Beat Union) and Jarrod Alexander (My Chemical Romance, Dead Country).

Raneri will start recording tomorrow (December 13th) at Hurley Studios in Costa Mesa, CA.
