Alter The Press! Presents: Lost Boys

With three-fifths having toured around Europe and played shows alongside Finch and Story of the Year in pop-punk group DissolvedIN, they have some valuable experience to make good use of in their new venture, Lost Boys. Hailing from Reading and just a handful shows played, the post-hardcore group are quickly making waves with a mix of melodic rock and pop sensibilities, with recent favourable single ('Tired and Lonely') setting the standard high.

With a début EP in the works, expect to hear more from Lost Boys and follow in the foot steps of Young Guns and Deaf Havana, as their brand of alt-rock has plenty of promise and potential.

For Fans Of:Paramore, Glassjaw and Emarosa.

Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
Lost Boys: We are pretty fresh on the scene with only around 6 shows under our belts, but we are starting to make some serious waves in the UK scene. We are energetic and passionate about what we are playing, the lyrics and subject in our songs are genuine and honest. We are a British Alternative Rock band with fast songs filled with aggression and emotion.

ATP: What's the story behind the band?
LB: Well Dan Wright, Jamie Singleton and myself (Stuart Collyer) were ex-members of a band called DissolvedIN, We had a taste of being on the road and having a busy band schedule with festival performances (Download, Underage and Sound City) Touring the Uk with Finch, Story of the Year and Saosin, heading out to Europe too. We just didn't want it to end so started work on a completing new project which has really started to take shape, We completed the line-up with Ted Brett playing bass and Jack Twiner (rhythm guitar.) We have started work on our début EP, (which is) set for release early 2011. For now we have our début single 'Tired and Lonely' Out Now.

ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
LB: We released our single 'Tired and Lonely' and it gained the attention of Kerrang!TV. They made it "Video Of The Week", which we're all stoked about, its a great way to start things off for our band. It's early days tho, come summer 2011 we want to be everywhere.

ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
LB: Getting the début EP released and begin a constant touring schedule off the back of it. Hopefully with some promotional surprises on the way to really get people talking. We want to be as far away from Reading for as long as possible, Maybe occasionally to come back and lay down a demo or two at Outhouse studios now and then.
