Why did you form LAB Records?
Because I was young and naive! Myself and a couple of friends had promoted a ton of shows in Blackpool and had a little success, but my love was always for recorded music and specifically CD's, vinyl etc. It was a dream that LAB could release a CD - just one - so we did. I guess it snowballed from there.

How did you come up with the name LAB Records?
It was a shortening of the name of that promotions company. Plus I really liked the scientific connotations.

Why should people take an interest in LAB Records?
Because I don't think there is anyone in the UK doing what we are. That said, it's way more about the bands than it is the label - if you like what our bands are doing, thanks.

What are your future plans for LAB Records?
We have a couple of releases from the States coming up (Hellogoodbye and The Summer Set,) before our attention turns firmly back to the UK and I think it'd be fair to say we're going to have more of a pop leaning for the rest of 2011.
