Katy Perry Launches Record Label Metamorphosis Music

Katy Perry has started a record label, Metamorphosis Music, a partnership with Capitol Records.

The singer announced today (June 17th) the signing of pop singer Ferras, as her first artist.

The Jordanian singer-songwriter's new self-titled EP, which was produced by Perry, was released digitally today. In support of the release, Ferras will appear as the support artist on Katy's upcoming North American tour dates, which can be found here.

"Ferras is a man with a message and a unique, lyrical way of communicating his perspective on life that makes you feel connected to every note when you listen," Perry said in a statement. "[The EP's] 'Speak in Tongues' is a song with raw emotional power that I wish I wrote. I believe he is going to be an important artist to watch unfold. I am so ecstatic the world gets to hear his music now both online and on tour with me."
