Ed Sheeran Lands First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 with 'x'

Ed Sheeran has captured his first number one album on the Billboard 200 Chart, as x bows atop the list.

The album, which was released June 23rd, opened with 210,000 sold in the week ending June 29, according to Nielsen SoundScan.


x follows Sheeran's major-label debut album, +, which debuted and peaked at number on the Billboard 200, selling 42,000 in its first week. It has now sold 841,000 units total.
