Blake Schwarzenbach's latest band, Thorns of Life have split up.

Schwarzenbach has formed a new band called forgetters, which includes former Against Me! drummer Kevin Mahon.

Blake Schwarzenbach's new band Thorns of Life will have their debut album produced by J. Robbins.

Thorns of Life Planning Debut Album

Blake Schwarzenbach of Thorns of Life has said the band are planning to self-release their first album.

Blake told The Silver Sprocket Bicycle Club:

"Yea, we want to record a record, and probably do it ourselves. I see no need for a label. None of us know how people do music for sale anymore, so we are trying to figure that one out, but nobody is really buying music anyway. We might as well do it ourselves and lose money that way."

Blake Schwarzenbach New Band Details Revealed

According to former Lookout! Records owner Larry Livermore, Schwarzenbach's new band are called the Thorns Of Life. Livermore also confirms the band's lineup as being Schwarzenbach on guitar/vocals, Daniela Sea (best known as Moira/Max Sweeney from the Showtime series The L Word) on bass and Aaron "Cometbus" Elliott (ex-Crimpshrine) on drums.

Blake Schwarzenbach New Band Plays Surprise Show

Blake Schwarzenbach, famed former frontman for the hugely influential Jawbreaker and Jets To Brazil and currently an English professor at Hunter College in New York, recently played a surprise show with his new band. The band, whose name is still unknown, played on Sunday night at the Jerk House with punk acts Underground Railroad To Candyland and Shellshag.
