Joe Trohman (Fall Out Boy/The Damned Things) Starts New Band

Trohman made the following statement:
"Just filling everyone in on what’s going on with myself and others are working on:
-The Damned Things are most likely not doing anything in 2012. As I’ve mentioned before ETID & Anthrax are very very busy touring their new records and I’d be surprised if anyone pushes for something TDT related this year. This is not to say there won’t be TDT again. I’m confident there will, as we all want to do it again. It just has to fit into everyone’s busy schedules. On top of that all, I’m also gearing up for something.
-Which now brings me to my next, and perhaps most exciting bit of news. Josh Newton, who played with The Damned Things with myself as well as various other rad bands (Every Time I Die, Shiner, Season To Risk to name a few), and I have started a new band called With Knives. With Knives began as a project Josh was working on on his own. When he joined TDT, he asked me to work on it with him, and so I did. It sounded a bit too realized to not turn it into an actual band. That’s what we’re doing with it.
Next month we will set out to Kansas City to record an EP. Then we will play shows and tour on this EP. We plan on putting it out ourselves using our Son Of Man thing as a record label. The plan is to release it as a 10” and download only, considering more people own and use a computer these days than a CD player. SOM will still be making and selling our weird shirts as well.
-And lastly, as I mentioned we plan on using Son Of Man as not just a way to unload some strange t-shirt designs, but also as a way to release music. There are a few other releases in the works that we plan on releasing via SOM, aside from the With Knives EP/10”. In general, the plan with SOM the whole time has been to turn it into a sort of artist collective. Hopefully we will be able to work with other artists and musicians to collaborate and release their stuff in a safe, DIY environment that doesn’t push them to do anything they don’t want to do.
Josh and I are really excited about the new band and continuing to work on Son Of Man. We’ve been slaves to the musical grind in our own respects and we both feel we can finally begin to work on something that feels like who we are, regardless if it’s met with open arms or not.
If you wish to support what we’re working on, visit Son Of Man and buy a shirt if it suits you. We also plan on making hoodies of the ‘2012 End Is Nigh’ design; they look great and we should have them up really soon. Trying our best to keep the cost as low as possible on our end. We know how tight things are these days. Also, keep checking my blog and Josh’s (www.gearnerd.info). We eventually plan on setting up mailing lists for both Son Of Man and eventually With Knives so you can get info directly to your inbox.
Also, if you have anything you’d like to submit to Son Of Man that you’ve been wanting to get out there, be it music or art, send something over to sonofmannyc@gmail.com. Re-blog, Re-tweet the shit out of this if you would so kindly do, and thanks for taking the time to read,
Joe (and Josh in spirit)"

Former You, Me & Everyone We Know Members Start New Band
The band have released the following statement:
"t’s with great excitement we officially announce that after the collapse of the band You, Me, and Everyone We Know, the most dashing (I mean, come on!) third of the group, AUGUSTINE RAMPOLLA and KYLE GIBSON, have been hard at work on the formation of a new musical undertaking.
The new band, THE LITTLE INDIANS, is an extremely vast blend of indie and pop music. Rampolla has taken handfuls of unused instrumentals he composed with intent of becoming new YMAEWK material and turned them into something different, of his own flavor. However, in addition to those sounds, he has crafted an entirely new sound that differs from the powerful pop/rock format that was YMAEWK. The result, from song to song, is a broad, seemingly limitless, sonic landscape. Whether fast or slow, hopeful or sullen, Rampolla and Gibson have explored a wide array of sounds and aren’t holding back when it comes to their stylistic approach of their new music.
All the material thus far has been engineered, produced and performed by the band in their home studio outside of Baltimore, Maryland. Though there is already more than enough material for THE LITTLE INDIANS first full length record (or two if they so desired), the duo is taking their time with an initial release in an effort to not oversaturate listeners and to thoroughly refine the content of which they have already written.
The first single from THE LITTLE INDIANS, optimistically titled, “What Makes You Grin?”, will premiere on Tuesday, September 20, 2011.
The tune, as previously stated was recorded, produced, and performed by the band, with mixing credits attributed to friend and fellow Baltimore engineer/producer Trevor Simpson, who produced and made possible You, Me and Everyone We Know’s Doghouse Records release, “Some Things Don’t Wash Out”."

City (Comma) State Break Up and Members Launch New Band

The remaining members have launched a new band called Stars In Stereo.
The band released the following statement:
"As announced on The Gunz Show earlier tonight, Joanna has left City (Comma) State to pursure a solo career. Justin Siegel, Jordan McGraw and Drew Langan, along with C(C)S main collaborator/producer, Keith Varon, and an as of yet unnamed female vocalist have announced the beginning of a new project called Stars in Stereo. City (Comma) State are still releasing their EP titled 'The First Last EP' which is available at Big Cartel now and will be available at iTunes, Spotify, Napster, Rhapsody, and Amazon MP3 within this next week."
Justin Sigel made the following comment:
"This project started in the studio, and fittingly, ended there as well. I'm not a fan of long band break-up posts or involving the fans in personal issues or stories. So I simply want to thank the fans we got to hang out with, the bands that supported us and all the amazing friends that we met only because this project came to fruition. Jordan, Drew, Keith and I look forward to your continued support and can't wait for you all to hear and see what we've been working on. Get ready for SinS!!!!!!"

Zac Farro Joins Josh Farro's New Band - Novel American

Ward posted the following:
"We’ve got some exciting news! But first, I wanted to give you a bit of perspective in to the journey we’ve been walking out for the past few months as Novel American…
The NA guys are great friends with incredible hearts about to do great things. Unfortunately, all along the way, I found it abnormally hard to fully connect my passion to the drums and to the project. With a baby on the way, a slow attempt to redevelop my love for playing music and a schedule dominated by non-profit work that I love, bringing 100% of myself to the band wasn’t always manageable.
Throughout the process I’ve kept a conversation open with the guys about my unexplainable disconnect. And, in the end, I feel like to stay on board half-hearted is only going to hurt both them and I. So, in the very best interest of the band & my wife and I, I’ve decided to step away from Novel American and support them from a friendship level.
But the news doesn’t stop there. In fact, it’s just getting good. Turns out that the guy filling my seat happens to be an incredible drummer with an even more incredible heart. And, there’s no doubt in my mind that he is only going to benefit NA both onstage and off.
I assume some of you might have even heard his name before…
So please help me officially welcome as the new drummer of Novel American, Zac Farro!
Thanks for walking with us!
-Tyler Ward"
