Comeback Kid Recruit Former Vocalist Scott Wade For 10th Anniversary Shows

Living With Lions Vocalist To Join Comeback Kid Full Time?

According to a recent interview with Comeback Kid, it would seem that Living With Lions vocalist Stuart Ross is joining the band permanently after their current tour.

An excerpt from the interview can be read below:

"What do you guys have planned for the summer since Stu will be touring with Living with Lions for a bit on Warped?"

Actually, this is his last tour with the Lions. With him it’s just kind of tour by tour, and if all things work out he’ll probably join the band full time. But for the summer, we’re going to be playing Israel in June and then we’ll be going to Europe for summer festivals and a few club dates. Fall, we’re working on stuff."

Hot Water Music, Braid, Comeback Kid To Play Free SXSW Showcase

Hot Water Music, Braid, DYS, Darkest Hour, Comeback Kid, Coliseum, Anti-Flag, Tim Barry and more will play a free daytime SXSW showcase on Friday, March 16th at Red 7 (611 East 7th Street, Austin, TX).

Doors open at noon.

Comeback Kid Part Ways With Guitarist Casey Hjelmberg

Comeback Kid have announced that guitarist Casey Hjelmberg is no longer in the band.

The band made the following statement:

"We very unfortunately have to announce that our friend and guitar player Casey Hjelmberg has decided to leave Comeback Kid. The split is completely amicable and we’re thankful to have spent as much time with him over the past few years as we have. He let us know early last year that it was time to move on with his life, and we’re sorry to see him go.

Casey has been in Comeback Kid since our original vocalist Scott left in 2006 and Andrew took over vocal duties. He has been a true friend to us all and huge part of why we’ve been able to keep at this for as long as we have. We wish him all the luck in the world and we’re sure he’ll be just fine. In the meantime, our friend Stu Ross will be filling in on guitar. Stu has been on tour with us a bunch with both Misery Signals and Living with Lions. We’re not going to miss a step and we look forward to seeing everyone on tour in 2012.

Our sincere thanks and love go out to Casey. We can’t wait for the year to come and we hope everyone is as excited as we are."

Cancer Bats To Headline Nottingham's Hit The Deck Festival

Cancer Bats will be headlining the 2011 Hit The Deck Festival in Nottingham on Sunday April 17th.

Comeback Kid, The Ghost of A Thousand, Kvelertak, Grave Maker and Social Suicide, have also been announced for the festival which will take place the city's Rock City, Rescue Rooms and Stealth venues.

In addition according to their Facebook, Young Guns will be playing the festival as well.
