Instrumental rock band Explosions in the Sky from Austin, Texas, deliver their first full-length release since 2007 with 'Take Care, Take Care, Take Care'. Full of the expected musical acrobatics the band is expert at employing, this album also twists those expectations with new elements.Explosions in the Sky has perfected the build-up. They employ this technique so expertly that you can actually feel the anticipation and electricity in the music that leads up to the moment when a song will break into its full sound. This is demonstrated in 'Human Qualities,' but most perfectly in “Postcard from 1952,” a track that builds sound in layers and rises and falls in volume and intensity.

Explosions In The Sky Update
Explosions In The Sky have posted a brief update, which states they are planning to start work on a new record soon. The band said:
"Hello everyone,
Nothing too terribly exciting to announce. Just wanted to take a moment for some shameless commerce. We have a new shirt available at our little internet store. It was, once again, lovingly designed and drawn by our our good friend, Esteban Rey. We hope you like them.
Also, way back in 2007 we released a record called All of A Sudden I Miss Everyone. Editions of the record that were sold at independent stores or at our shows included a special remix disc. Every song on the record was remixed by people whom we love and admire (Four Tet, Jesu, Eluvium, The Paper Chase, Mountains, Adem). Anyway, these remixes are now available for sale on iTunes. So if you're interested you can look into that. They turned out pretty great. We also plan on putting free mp3s of these remixes up on our website at some point, though they won't be as high quality as the the version on iTunes.
Other than the upcoming ATP Festival, we don't have any shows planned and we probably won't for quite some time. We're getting back to work on writing a new record. We wish we could announce some sort of tentative release date, but that's pretty much impossible at this point. We can say with some confidence that it's probably going to be awhile.
Anyway, thanks for caring. Be safe.
- Explosions"

Explosions In The Sky Release New Merch
Texas Instrumental Post-Rock band Explosions In The Sky has released new t-shirts, as well as give a brief update on the bands recent activities. The band's myspace blog stated:
"Hello everyone,
We apologize for interrupting you with this message of shameless commerce, but we're happy to announce that we have some new t-shirts available through our online store (please go to www.explosionsinthesky.com and click on the "store" heading if you want to take a look). There are three new designs, all of which were lovingly drawn by our good friend (and artist in residence) Esteban Rey. We hope you like them.
We don't really have any other news to report. We're just at home in Austin...writing songs, changing diapers, raking leaves, eating sandwiches, playing ping pong, etc. If anything else interesting happens, we'll be sure to let you know. Thanks for caring.
Love,
Explosions"
