Brother (UK) Change Name To "Viva Brother"
After a legal challenge by an Australian 'powerhouse celtic tribal trio' with the same name, Brother (UK) have changed their name to "Viva Brother".Vocalist, Lee Newell made the following statement:
"A long time ago in a galaxy far far away three men decided one day that it would be a good idea to start a band called Brother. Many, many years later four frighteningly handsome devils in the desolate, post apocalyptic wasteland of Slough decided to do the same thing. But something called "litigation" got in the way. However with this out of the way we do finally feel free. Brother is dead. Long Live VIVA BROTHER!".
The band's debut album 'Famous First Words' is out August 1st.

Single Review: Brother - Darling Buds of May
Hyped up by NME as "the brightest guitar hopes of 2011", Slough's Brother have been making themselves known here and there since last summer. With a cocky and confident attitude, the four-piece seem to have the gift of the gab but ultimately the question is do they have the songs?With the obvious 90's "Britpop" influence in both sound and image, 'Darling Buds of May' proves to be favourable introduction to the band. Its simple style and lyrics bring about a guilty attraction to the band, especially when you realise they're musically trying to be classic Oasis; just listen to the guitar part 1 minute into it and tell not it dosen't remind you of the latter's 'Acquiesce'.
