Sum 41's Deryck Whibley In Hospital With 'Severe Pneumonia'

Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley has been hospitalized with 'severe pneumonia' whilst overseas in Australia.

The band have made the following statement:

"We regret to inform everyone that we have had to cancel a few shows due to Deryck Whibley being hospitalized with severe pneumonia. Deryck is currently being treated in a Sydney hospital. Doctors are doing their best to beat the pneumonia and Deryck will remain in Sydney until he has recovered. As soon as Deryck is out of the hospital the band will return back to the stage performing their 'Screaming Bloody Murder' world tour with the usual high energy kick ass shows."

We Came As Romans Guitarist Hospitalized

We Came As Romans guitarist Joshua Moore is still in hospital in Nebraska, as a result of being diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.

The band gave the following message:

"It saddens us to see him in this state but we hope that everyone can wish him a speedy recovery and want to thank all of our fans for being understanding in this tough situation."

Madina Lake Bassist Beaten Unconscious

Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone is currently in hospital after being beaten up this week after attempting to save a woman from a domestic dispute. The man involved turned on Matthew and beat him unconscious.

Matthew has had to have a third of his skull removed due to his brain swelling. His brother Nathan posted the folloiwng update:

"i’m afraid I have some of the worst news that has ever hit our lives. It’s almost impossible to even type this update. A few nights ago, Matthew walked from my apt. a block and a half down the street to meet a friend for a drink. half way there he saw a man severely beating his wife. Being the most amazing, strong, heroic and incredible person I know.. even though the guy was twice his size, Matthew intervened. He managed to subdue this guy for a second and since his wife was beat up pretty good called the cops.. as he did so the guy jumped him from behind and beat him. This guy did things I can’t even type. After words, he and his beaten wife left Matthew unconcious on the street. Matthew is in the hospital with a third of his skull removed as we wait for the swelling in his brain to go down. I’d rather not share any additional information at this time besides the fact that he acted as a hero (as he always would in any of these situations) and is paying a horrific price. Pease send all your love and good energy and vibrations to him. I’ve been and will be next to him throughout the entire recovery process. We don’t know enough yet details about how that will develop.. but it has shocked, stunned, disgusted our best friends, family and band (which are both). The world can be evil beyond belief and as much as we want this evil eliminated, right now our hearts heads and energies need to go to my best friend, soul mate, hero, and angel, Matthew. Love you all and will be in touch as soon as I can muster up the emotional energy to reach out again. Please, be safe and peaceful as we get through this impossible time.

Due to one of the members being hospitalized, Millionaires have had to cancel their scheduled show in Leeds tonight.

We can officially confirm the rest of the trio's upcoming UK dates are still scheduled to go ahead as planned.

Joshua "Fatty" Olds, bassist/vocalist of Family Force 5, has been admitted to a Chicago-area hospital after the band's performance at The Chapel in Grayslake, Illinois on Sunday night.

Cobra Starship's Gabe Saporta has been hospitalized with a stomach virus.

Gabe's twitter stated;

"Turns out I have a stomach virus. I couldn't stop vomiting and I had to be put on an IV today bc I was dehydrated. Sorry to cancel vancouver"

Lydia Vocalist Hospitalized

Lydia's lead singer Leighton Antelman was recently admitted to hospital with stomcah flu.

A messege from the band said:

"Last night- Leighton was hospitalized with a severe stomach flu . The band continued to play, as Mindy and guitarist- Steve, decided to do a set as a duo. It began the night of the New Orleans,LA show. The band cancelled, in hopes that the day of rest would be enough to finish the tour. The band played another show, and it began to get to unbearable. It got to the point that Leighton couldn't take it anymore, and was brought to the emergency room to undergo further evaluation. He was eventually released around midnight, last night. In the coming months, the band will set up, "a make up" show in NOLA. We appreciate everyone's support, and apologize for the disappointment."

Blessed By A Broken heart vocalist hospitalized

It's been reported that Tony Gambino (Blessed By A Broken Heart vocalist) has been hospitalized with meningitis.
