Album Review: Sam Little - Trust Me, Something Beautiful Will Happen

Sam Little is through and through a pop artist but in an "alternative" scene. Years ago his style would of probably been mocked and criticised in the scene. However times have changed and now Little's pleasant pop numbers are acceptable.

'Trust Me, Something Beautiful Will Happen' sees Sam ditching the Eat Sleep Attack moniker but still being rooted to the same sound. 'She's Just Not That Into You' and 'Watch Your Back' are harmless and enjoyable for their stripped down, catchy approach.

As always Little knows how to write a good pop song and he has the voice to back it up. 'Everything' being an ideal example with his smooth voice complimenting the upbeat and acoustic-led track.

Throw in fan favourite 'Fallin''; instantly enjoyable and will be played over and over. Add a quirky remix of the latter and the job's done for Little, who once again has proven his youthful, innocent acoustic pop is a winning formula and one that is surely to be heard by the masses sooner rather than later.

4/5
