Alter The Press! Presents: Lost In Colour

With an appearence at this year's Hevy Festival and mentions in nationwide publications already on their CV and with plans for a new release and tour in the works. Lost In Colour are going from strength to strength with their brand of indie rock. The Kent quartet formed just 18 months ago but have quickly built a decent following, as their blend of youthful energy and mature, musical wisdom has won people over.

For Fans Of: Circa Survive, Saosin and Paramore.

Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
Lost In Colour: I don't think any of us have ever wanted to do anything else, as a result we put everything we have into writing and playing music in the hope it will some how change your own life like it has our own. We write songs about how we feel each and everyday, and throw every emotion possible into playing those songs live. If you like music and having a fucking good time then welcome to the family.

ATP: What's the story behind the band?
LIC: We formed in April 2009 with a different line up and completely different songs. After a couple of member changes we decided we wanted to write and play music with more passion and meaning to us, as apposed to writing and playing songs that didn't have much meaning just because that's what people wanted to hear. In April this year we recorded a single with a man called Jason Wilcock at a place on a island in the middle of the thames called Stakeout studios. To us I think that's where our band really started and we haven't looked back since.

ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
LIC: The other week we played Hevy festival with some incredible bands like; Glassjaw, The Subways, Gallows and pretty much all of our favourite bands. It was crazy to have our band name placed on a bill next to bands as massive as that. It's safe to say we all had the best weekend of our lives. So I think that's the biggest highlight for us so far, hopefully when you ask us again in a few months we will have a lot more to say.

ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
LIC: We are heading back to the studio in September to start recording a CD, which will hopefully reach your ears at the start of 2011 along with a pretty music video. We have a lot of tours in the works too, we head out on tour in October which we are all excited about. But yeah like most record and tour, record and tour.
