For Fans Of: The Starting Line, You Me At Six and Four Year Strong.

Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
Next Stop Atlanta: Next Stop Atlanta are creating something very exciting within the UK underground scene. The band of close friends steer clear from a mediocre and predictable sound, and offer a fresh twist on female fronted driven pop-punk. They should check us out because NSA write and deliver catchy, hook driven songs that cater for any music lovers essential needs. The crossover is intelligently pitched. Big, power pop songs combined with hints of commercial, radio friendly phrases. They appeal right across the board without sounding contrived, manufactured or like anything else that has hit the UK scene before.

ATP: What's the story behind the band?
NSA: We formed and launched in January of this year. We set ourselves aims and objectives to achieve, that would push Next Stop Atlanta forward. We have not looked back since. Nik (guitar) and Blake (bass) were previously in a band with Vicky Jones (sister to Danny from Mcfly.) Fortunately for NSA, that band fizzled out and Nik and Blake approached good friends Georgia (vocals) and Ant (drums) about forming a new band. With demos written, they hit the rehearsal studio and played their first gig (February) at a soled out hometown show at 53degrees, Preston.

ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
NSA: Recording our debut EP in August with producer Matty O'Grady (You Me At Six and The Blackout) and shooting our debut music video with Rocksound videographer Mark Forrer. Recording the EP with Matty was hard work, but it wasn't all work and no play (as seen in the Studio Diary on youtube.com) and our true colours really came out in the studio.

The video was filmed in the bowl of a skatepark late at night, we were having a blast, despite how freezing cold it was! The video diary from the video shoot, shows we enjoy what we do, and just how close we are as a group. We are so passionate about making the music we want to.

ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
NSA: We release our début single on November 22nd and the EP is scheduled for release (digital/physical) mid-December with a second single/video due for release in February of next year. We will be touring the UK throughout the new year, as well as doing as much media promo as possible to help support the releases. By the end of next year they aim to hit the studio to begin work on our follow-up release... watch this space!

'I'll Catch Fire' by Next Stop Atlanta is released on November 22nd.
