Alter The Press: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
Final Round...FIGHT!: Because over the last few years the whole scream/sing genre has been over ran by fads that change every few months; Crabcore, Crunkcore, Metalcore, etc. We play honest music and we don't have a pattern or trend to follow. We are the result of four different people starting a band and seeing what comes out naturally with no set game plan. That, and we actually bother to appreciate and thank every and any one who gives us the time of day to at least check us out.

ATP: What's the story behind the band?
FRF!: We're all from different towns and ended up in Portsmouth for University, bar Ash who ended up here through mutual school friends. We've all been in bands for years around the local area, and when my (Callis) old band split up in the back end of 2006 I wanted to start a band with the right people and play something that meant more to me personally rather than just join another person's band and be a third wheel. I approached Howard as I liked his voice but he was busy with his own band at the time and said no. That summer Howard's band came to an end due to other members going separate ways after Uni and we got together in his room to write a few bits and pieces. We then found Gary to play bass through a mutual friend and Howard's work colleague Ash to play drums. It's been pretty much love, piss taking, arguing and mutual bitching since then!

ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
FRF!: We'd like to think the best is still to come, but so far playing with Hot Water Music and Senses Fail has been the biggest milestone. We're also glad we had the chance to play with Blakfish before they split up as well as their new incarnation as &U&I. Blakfish have been a huge influence on us for their years of hard work and fearless approach to stand out and be different.

ATP: What are your plans for the 12 months?
FRF!: We spent most of 2010 quiet due to work commitments and wanting to get our EP 'Ergonomics' perfected before we went in the studio to record it. This year we've got a couple of new songs in the works to hopefully put on a split EP with another TBC band, as well as a 10 second long on the forthcoming Bastard Loud Records Compilation, and a few dates on The Smoking Hearts' Winter tour. Oh and Ash is getting Married to his fiancee Leanne in the Summer, so that's going to be a mega drinking session! We're taking it one step at a time, we have no clue what we'll be doing by the Summer as a band, but hopefully it'll be productive.
