ATP: What's the story behind the band?
The Mid-Summer Classic: The band was formed in late 2008 by Eric Hebert and Aaron Trahan. The band began playing shows in January of 2009. Within the first month of coming to the music scene, the band won a local Battle of the Bands which gave them an opening spot for a Mardi Gras concert featuring 12 Stones, Rev Theory, Meriwether, and Tyler Read. During that year, the band has kept busy with opening for other national acts as well as playing the largest nightclub in the country, Club La Vela, in Panama City, Florida. Also during the year, the band recorded their first EP, "Live While You're Young", at Little House Productions with producer, Brian Beyt.

The EP was released in March of 2010. Throughout this time, Eric was the frontman of the band. However, Eric decided to step down from the vocalist to guitarist and the band began to look for a new singer. While looking around for a new singer, Aaron came across one of Robert's covers he uploaded on YouTube. The band immediately became interested and figured it was worth a shot seeing if he would be interested in the position. After talking for a while, Robert decided to become a part of the band and moved from Malibu, CA to Lafayette, LA in June of 2010. Since then, the band has been working on new material and getting ready to start touring this summer.
