Alter The Press! Presents: We're No Heroes‏

Now based in South Wales, Indie Math Pop trio; We’re No Heroes actually formed in 2009 in a downtown Chicago Studio, with debut EP 'Crossing Over' released in February 2010 it's a prime example of a modern day indie band, combining what can only be described as precise riffs with excellent bass lines, it received local acclaim in the South Wales scene, and has garnered a download count of over 1500.

We’re No Heroes entered Ripefruit Recording Studio’s with producers Jordan Andrews in early 2011 to work on their follow up release, resulting in a new four track EP titled 'Quiet Colours' due to hit on on the 15th June it’s seemingly only a matter of time before the hype machine goes nationwide.

For Fans Of: Foals, This Town Needs Guns, New Young Pony Club, and Minus The Bear.

ATP: Why should Alter The Press! readers check you out?
We're No Heroes‏: We're No Heroes are an energetic math-tinged indie band with fast paced danceable melodic hookiness. The music is addictively tuneful with an energetic live show to match. The band consists of 3 members, Tom(guitar/vocals), Dewey(bass/vocals) and Luke(drums/vocals). With no main vocalist We're No Heroes share the vocal responsibilities between the 3 of them.

ATP: What's the story behind the band?
We're No Heroes‏: We're No Heroes formed trans-atlantically in Summer 2009 which a off chance jam in a derelict downtown Chicago studio inspired the three welsh lads to form the basic ideas and concepts of their future music interventions. It may have been the influence of the big city or big dreams but each member became focused and exctied on creating something fun and different. Since starting out the band has progressed far, moving to the bright lights of Cardiff and establishing themselves within the local scene.

ATP: Single highlight as a band so far?
We're No Heroes‏: There are lots of highlights since the beginning but I think the highlight must be getting signed to local cardiff label 'At Your Own Risk' and getting to record and release our second EP 'Quiet Colours'. As well as playing with some amazing bands along the way.

ATP: What are your plans for the next 12 months?
We're No Heroes: The plans for the next 12 months are to reach as many people as we can with this new EP with a possible small UK tour in the winter. Then hopefully start writing songs that could possible go on the third EP.

'Quiet Colours' EP by We're No Heroes is released on June 15th through At Your Own Risk.
