Eminem New Album #1 on Billboard 200; Avril Lavigne at #5

Eminem's new album The Marshall Mathers LP debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 this week with 792,000 units sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It marks the second-largest sales week of the year, behind only Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience, which started with 968,000 in March.

Avril Lavigne's new self-titled album bowed in at number five with 44,000 units sold. The Canadian rocker's latest release is her fifth straight top 10 album but shows her lowest sales figures yet, dipping below the 62,000 start of her debut full-length Let Go 2002.
