Kevin Devine will release two new 7" singles 'Luxembourg' and 'Part of the Whole' on May 17th through Academy Fight Song Records.

Kevin Devine Announces Two New 7" Releases

Kevin Devine and Academy Fight Song will be releasing two 7" vinyls on May 17th, called 'Luxembourg' and 'Part Of The Whole'. The b-side on both releases will be a screen-print based on the 7" artwork.

Each 7" will be limited to 1,000 copies, with 3 different color variations (/100, /250, /650.) Whilst the digital download version of both 7"'s will be releaased on April 12th.

Long Island-based Looney Tunes Records will be the exclusive retailer for the /250 color of both 7"s, and will be available for purchase on this year's Record Store Day (April 16th). Kevin will also being doing an in-store performance the same day.

Kevin Devine 'Make The Clocks Move' Vinyl Re-Issue Details

Academy Fight Song Records have announced they will be releasing the vinyl re-issue of Kevin Devine's 'Make The Clocks Move' on December 14th.

The release will feature brand new artwork and two previously unreleased bonus tracks [demos from the original recording session: 'Funerals And Carnivals' and 'You Knock Me Out']. Packaging will include a gatefold LP, double innersleeves, and will be available on the following colors: /100 on 180G black [exclusive to AFS WEBSTORE], /200 on clear orange w/ brown splatter, and /200 on clear brown w/ orange splatter.

Pre-orders for the record will go live on November 15th at 12 PM Noon EST in the AFS WEBSTORE, and will include a limited edition t-shirt bundle [exclusive to the AFS WEBSTORE], with only 50 t-shirts available.

Brand New's 'Devil And God' AFS Vinyl Pressing Delayed

The Academy Fight Song vinyl pressing for Brand New's 'The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me' has been delayed again.

The label released the following statement:

"We have had a couple more setbacks with the release of Brand New’s “The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me” 2xLP. After two sets of test pressings, numerous artwork revisions and licensing issues, UMG notified me that their pressing plant couldn’t do the color combinations we decided to go with. After switching pressing plants, we finally received new test pressings (the 3rd set), which I will be listening to and hopefully approving today. We finally have the band’s full approval on the artwork and the test pressings, as well, which was a major obstacle with this release.

That being said, we are working as hard as possible to have the records ready to ship by the end of this month, and no later than early August. I am extremely excited to finally have things in motion and full approvals from all of the parties involved. This release has been an interesting experience, to say the least.

We apologize for the delay, I know it’s frustrating after months of setbacks. Nightmares For A Week Sign To Academy Fight Song

Kingston, NY's Nightmares For A Week have signed to Academy Fight Song. The band will release their debut full-length later this Fall after recording with John Naclerio (Polar Bear Club, My Chemical Romance, Just Surrender).

Brand New's 'The Devil and God Are Raging Inside of Me' Vinyl Release

Brand New's 'The Devil and God Are Raging Inside of Me' will be released on 180 gram vinyl through Academy Fight Song on July 6th.

Featuring double 180 gram vinyl, a full color gatefold jacket with black flood printing inside both pockets, and extra heavy solid black innersleeves. Also included in the packaging is an 8x8” booklet that includes the original CD artwork, and newly designed center labels.

Brand New Devil And God 180 Gram Vinyl Release Postponed

The 180-gram vinyl pressing of Brand New's 'The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me' by Academy Fight Song has been postponed again.

AFS made the following statement:

"We are in the process of working with the band on making this release exactly what they want. That being said, we are going to have to postpone the pre-order today. I really hate doing this, but I'd rather post a pre-order on a product I know is already approved for production rather than having to wait on approvals that may take a while.

I'll post more on this as soon as I hear back from the band, but I didn't want to keep you guys hanging tomorrow.

Brand New Devil And God Vinyl Delayed

Brand New's 'The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me' vinyl release has been pushed back till April 6th, 2010 as well as the pre-order date now, which will now be February 2nd, 2010.

Academy Fight Song Records made the following statement:

"After much contemplation and thought, we have decided to delay the pre-order and release date for Brand New's "The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me" double 180 gram LP by THREE weeks. The pre-order will now begin on February 2nd, 2010 and the release date is now slated for April 6th, 2010.

We apologize any annoyance this may cause you, but we want to assure you that the pre-order WILL be going up on February 2nd, without any further delays. Without getting too specific, we chose to delay the release in an attempt to compromise with the band themselves who have been working on a separate vinyl version of the release.

Our release will be comprised of two 180 gram LPs housed in an extra heavy gatefold jacket, with black flood printing inside each pocket, and a combination of matte and spot gloss finishes on the front and back covers. The LPs will be in thick solid black innersleeves as well, a finished package that will look both beautiful and super sharp.

Likewise, we will be donating $1 from each record sold to the Long Island-based charity Island Harvest, who devotes 97 cents of every dollar donated to efforts to fight hunger. Here's a little more about what they do:

Our volunteers and staff “rescue,” or collect, good surplus food from over 600 local restaurants, caterers, farms, and other food-related businesses; and distribute it to a network of close to 500 soup kitchens, food pantries, and other places where those in need can access it. We also conduct educational programs to increase hunger awareness and inform the public how they can get involved in our mission to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island. - Island Harvest

Copeland Vinyl Release Details

Copeland's 2003 debut, 'Beneath Medicine Tree' is to have a limited-edition vinyl release with only 500 copies made by Academy Fight Song Records and will be released on September 15th.

The LP will also include a spot gloss jacket and a 20 page full-color insert reminiscent of the original CD booklet.
