La Dispute have announced they will be selling a packet (limited to 150) on their upcoming tour which will consist of:- “Conversations” - an audio interview with Jordan about the stories and themes presented in Wildlife. The interview is also coupled with movements from Chad’s “Mixtapes” (which were ideas recorded on a dictaphone that would later shape some of the songs on Wildlife). Everything is open for interpretation by the listener, of course, but it does give a little more insight into the concept of the record.
- “Snapshots” - a zine of polaroids taken on various tours and studio sessions surrounding Wildlife.
- Screen printed poster designed by Mr. Adam Vass.
- 4 postcards: a Departure, a Letter, a Poem, a Broken Jar.
- The 826michigan OMNIBUS Vol. 2 - A fantastic and very unique collection of short stories and poems written collaboratively by 826michigan students. (Seriously, it’s awesome. There’s a story called A Shark Named Pistachio.)

Live Review: La Dispute - Thekla Bristol, UK (1/25/11)
There is much to be said for the role of unity within music, given that it is one of the only forms of communication that effectively transcends all barriers, from class to religion, and from gender to language. Sigur Rós, for example, are one of the most emotionally evocative bands to emerge from the last three decades and their lyrics are composed in an entirely fictional language. A certain level of unification is implicit within music even when it hasn't been given any specific consideration, so when you take a band like La Dispute who so passionately uphold the connection between individuals as achieved through live performance in particular, the concept of unity begins to adopt a more palpable significance.With a 10pm curfew, things begin to kick off pretty early and there is already a lengthy queue of people winding along the waterside outside Thekla - a fairy light-clad boat permanently fixed at a dock in Bristol city center - before the doors open at 6:30. Even when waiting, there is an atmosphere beginning to form; expectations buzz, anticipations build. Unsurprisingly (yet none the less significant) for a band who offered up their full discography on Christmas day to raise money for 826Michigan, there are signs peppered around the venue raising awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust, to whom a portion of all proceeds gained from merch sales on this tour will go directly.

In the spirit of Christmas, La Dispute are giving their entire discography away for free via Bandcamp for today only (December 25th).Any money donated will be given to 826michigan, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students aged 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and teachers who inspire their students to write.

Album Review: La Dispute - Wildlife
“Tell me what your worst fears are. I bet they look a lot like mine”, Jordan Dreyer pines on penultimate track ‘All Our Bruised Bodies and the Whole Heart Shrinks’. And really, this one statement does as good a job as any ever could of encapsulating the whole heart of Wildlife – a staggeringly bold album that guides whoever it touches through a vivid and visceral exploration of humanity.Where their previous LP 'Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair' was concerned with the turmoil’s of a relationship, 'Wildlife' is concerned with all-encompassing social struggles, though still retains the same sense of personal grief that has permeated all of La Dispute’s releases to date. The consistence and intensity of raw emotion showcased on 'Somewhere at the Bottom...' caused many to critique it for feeling melodramatic to the point of absurdity, so much so that the album warranted its own drinking game, which involves taking a shot for every ‘darling’ and ‘lover’ (better known as a one-way ticket to melancholy en-masse and/or the emergency room for anyone who makes it past ‘Said the King to the River’).
