Live Review: New Found Glory - Solus, Cardiff (18/08/11)
Support for New Found Glory comes firstly in the form of Newport’s Save Your Breath playing for a more or less hometown crowd. Unfortunately their early spot on the bill meant that gig-goers were still streaming in whilst the band were already playing. Older songs like Stay Young got a much warmer reaction than their newer and lesser known material from new album Vices. Save Your Breath are forerunners in the UK pop-punk scene and should have have a much better response than they did.

Live Review: Fireworks, Make Do & Mend and Save Your Breath - Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff - 22/3/11
Clwb Ifor Bach is a three tiered venue, with most shows being held upstairs in the top room, so it’s always a bit of a gamble holding a show in the much smaller, downstairs floor venue, it’s not because of poor sound quality or anything like that, simply due the awkwardness it can create.Save Your Breath were up first, and suffered mostly from the awkward vibe from the crowd, despite the room being fairly full, the crowd never really got going and this had an adverse effect on the band but thankfully they didn’t put in a poor performance, the new songs from their forthcoming record sounded brilliant, and with a Movielife cover thrown in for good measure, their set should be considered a success.

Live Review: Tiger Please, Funeral For A Friend, Foxy Shazam and Samoans - Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff - 2/11/10
You know those nights that come along every once in a while... a night that has a certain feeling surrounding it, that just tells you it's going to be one to remember? well I can say, that, with one hundred and ten percent certainty that tonight is definitely one of those. There is two shows tonight in Clwb Ifor Bach, upstairs we have Tiger Please playing an anniversary show, celebrating the one year release of their debut album 'They Don't Change Under The Moonlight' not only that, but they've had a secret hidden away, supporting them is the newest incarnation of Funeral For A Friend, making their stage debut with Rich Boucher having arrived on bass after Darran Smith's departure in August, the show was starting with Samoans who were facing the daunting task of opening for the two great bands. Downstairs is a different story altogether, supported by The Guns (who I unfortunately had to miss but am reliably told brought some sort of party) Foxy Shazam, an amalgamation of 80's rock combined with the most catchy pop known to man were bringing their unique stage show to the UK on their very own headline tour, as I've already said. Tonight is not a night to be missed.

Lostprophets To Play Cardiff Millennium Stadium
Lostprophets will be playing Cardiff Millennium Stadium on June 5th right before Wales v South Africa Rugby match.Live Review: Young Guns, Save Your Breath, Outcry Collective – Clwb Ifor Bach 1/5/2010
Due to a Lostprophets gig being held in Cardiff on the same day as this, the smart decision was made to make this a matinee show. Some might have worried that this would have had a negative impact on either the turnout or the atmosphere but any worried were immediately vanquished as soon as the first band hit the stage. That first band was Outcry Collective. Now, in a live review with this band that I did about a month ago, I commented on how the poor turnout and lack of crowd enthusiasm seemed to have quite a big effect on them, so I was especially interested to see how they did with a near full venue, thankfully I can say that I saw an absolutely massive improvement. Every song had a better, much more fuller sound, “Saviour Stranger” once again sounded huge and honourable mentions have to go to “Dead In The Water” and “Straight From The Throat” as those songs only saw to notch up the bands intensity and let them get immerged into their set that little bit more. They did a really good job of warming up the crowd and they impressed me a lot.

Live Review: Tiger Please, Muscle Club, Blitz Kids – Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff – 16/4/2010
Tiger Please have generated a huge amount of buzz over the last couple of weeks. Ever since ‘Seasons’ their new EP was passed around for reviewing, and subsequently put online to stream, from what I’ve seen so far, the reaction has been entirely positive, and quite right too. This was their release show for the EP and with a sound that is even bigger than it was before; it was interesting to see if they could make it work. Before that though, there’s the matter of the supports to attend to. First up; Blitz Kids, another band that are releasing a new EP, they’re slot is right as doors open and they kick things off to a pretty much empty venue, and you can honestly tell that it’s kind of disheartening for them, nevertheless they put their full energy into the show, and as the room started to fill up, their performance got better and better, new single, “Sell Yourself” sounds absolutely huge live as well as “In Each Other’s Arms” that has a chorus, that in a live setting again sounds massive.

Lostprophets Welsh Gig Moved To Cardiff
Lostprophets' show on March 1st at Afan Lido in Port Talbot, has been moved to the Cardiff International Arena and will take place on May 1st.Live Review: Propagandhi, Protest The Hero, Strike Anywhere and Blackhole - The Coal Exchange, Cardiff - 02/12/09
This long night was kicked off by Hertfordshire punk-hardcore band Blackhole. In front of an audience completely inert. Vocalist Richard Carter decided to follow his brother Franki's path and go scream his words right in their faces. He spent the whole set walking among the crowd, while his band mates were rocking hard on stage. They put out a solid performance, even if it not suitable for such a big room. The American five-piece, Strike Anywhere were next and were supporting their Bridge Nine debut 'Iron Front'. The set list (unfortunately for those who had seen them before) only include a few new tracks and focused on the act's classics, from 'Exit English'-era 'To The World' to 2006's hit 'Instinct'. The band is as energetic as always, frontman Thomas Barnett jumping up and down, his dreadlocks in the air, and constantly making the crowd participate. Unfortunately, they had to stop before playing their eternal closer 'Sunset On 32nd'.
