The Rookie League Posts New Song
The Rookie League have posted the re-worked and re-named version of 'The Hard Goodbye'. The track is now called 'Yippee Ki-Yay, Motherfucker!' and is the bands first to feature the bands new vocalist.The band are currently writing new material, with plans for a 5-track EP to be released by the end of the year.

The Rookie League Announce Vocalist Change
The Rookie League have announced vocalist Matt Snape is leaving the band. However the band have a new singer called Jonny.Message from the band:
"There's going to be some huge changes in The Rookie League. We have some good news and some bad news. Some of you may already know, and for some of you it might be a bit of a shock. Our singer Matt Snape has decided he can not continue any further with The Rookie League. Matt can not fully commit due to new career opportunities and has personally advised us to look for a replacement. We wish Matt all the best in the future. However we have a new singer, his name is Jonny and he is fitting in really well. We think Jonny is a brilliant frontman and we believe this will give us the opportunity to better ourselves. We plan to re-record one of the songs off the EP this month, so keep an eye out for that. As much as we would love to record an EP of brand new material with our new singer we can't afford it until later on this year due to touring and being skint in general. But we are currently writing new material and we can't wait for everyone to hear it. Jonny's first show with The Rookie League will be at the O2 Academy Sunday 20th February supporting Don Broco so make sure you don't miss it!

These rookies deserve listeners’ attention. The Rookie League’s new 6 track EP entitled ‘Sinking The Friendship’ is a pop-punk/hardcore influenced delight that will be on punk fans’ playlists for a considerable amount of time. Quick punk drumming, melodic choruses and typical punk elements are abundant, but the songs are crafted well enough that they’ll stick with any fan of the genre.The Rookie League Release New EP

The Rookie League take the hardcore pop-punk style of Four Year Strong and add a bit of Britishness, with plenty of fun hooks, driving hooks and the occasional quirky breakdown. The Sheffield five-piece have slowly been getting themselves heard with shows alongside Mayday Parade, We Are The Ocean, Madina Lake, Polar Bear Club, Failsafe and Futures. Now as the band head into 2011 with a new EP, 'Sinking The Friendship', The Rookie League are set to continue the feel good pop-punk style and make good use of the experience from their time with Chasing Amy and Ship To Shore.

The Rookie League: Because we’re not like every other pop punk band. We love pop-punk but it’s not all we listen to and it clearly shows on our new EP. We put so much time and effort into this band and it’s all we care about right now. We’ve all been in bands before and nothing really worked out but with The Rookie League it’s a different story. Everything just clicks into place and we’re all really close. If we could afford to live on the road and tour forever we wouldn’t think twice. We aim to go above and beyond with this band and we will do whatever it takes to get to where we want to be. We’ve been lucky enough to play with some incredible bands over the past year. We played our debut show with Futures and ever since been lucky enough to open for the likes of Mayday Parade, Madina Lake and Polar Bear Club. We have a huge show to announce next year too!
The Rookie League To Give Away New EP to First 100 Fans
The Rookie League have announced the first 100 fans through the door at their forthcoming show at The Corporation, Sheffield will receive a free copy of their new EP, 'Sinking The Friendship'.The show takes place on December 20th and tickets are £6.
