The Motorcycle Industry have posted an update regarding their new bassist, Brooks Plummer and the release of their new EP, 'The Only Friends Worth Having'.

Front man, John Langhan, made the following statement:

"So the day is finally upon us. Our new EP, "The Only Friends Worth Having" is available for download. You've heard about it on all the news sites, read some generally favorable reviews of it and have probably already had it on your computer for like two months. Whatever the case, the 7" version or digital-only version can be purchased here:

We know this EP has been a long time coming, but if you've got the cash grab a copy from Audubon. They worked really hard on the release and are trying to get their label off the ground. However, if you end up getting it through some other means, make sure you do something nice in return, like helping your mom bring in the groceries.

Onto some equally sweet news: we finally have a new bass player. His name is Brooks Plummer and is featured in our super fancy new promo pictures. He, too, lives in the wonderful borough of Brooklyn, which means all four band members are now officially within one G stop of each other. Brooks will be playing all future shows with us and is taller than everyone in the band.

Other than that - we are always down to play your basement or Vets Hall or whatever. We're only a myspace message away.

Take care and enjoy the new songs!"

Sky Eats Airplane Announce New Vocalist and Bassist

Sky Eats Airplane have annouced 2 new band members. Bryan Zimmerman joins on lead vocals and Elliot Coleman on vocals and bass.

Statement from Sky Eats Airplane:

"We felt fairly limited vocally on the last record and we are very excited to utilize two singers for the next album, as this will add a new dynamic to our sound. Although Bryan and Elliot both have different voices, we feel that each will add their own style to the new songs -- along with older songs live -- that wasn't possible before.

We are sad to say that Johno is no longer in the band due to creative differences. We felt that it was in everyone's best interest. We still value his friendship highly and wish him the best of luck in the future.

As for new material, expect a brand spankin' new EP to be released in the Spring with all new material! We are still working on a full length, but wanted to be able to get some new songs out to you sooner. Our good buddy, Taylor Larson at Oceanic Recordings, is recording our EP at the beginning of the year.

The clip up on our myspace is a sample of ideas we are currently working on and would like to share with you guys. Keep in mind that these are just very rough demos but we couldn't wait any longer to show you what we've been working on."

Evile Reveal New Bass Player

Evile have revealed Joel Graham as their new bassist.

Message from the band:

"This has been one of the most bizarre and surreal tasks we've ever had to undertake. It isn't like Mike has decided to leave the band and we're simply finding a new bass player, he was taken from us, and we were forced to replace him. In effect we had to look for a new Mike, but that would never happen. He was one of a kind, and we'll never forget him.

"We had hundreds upon hundreds of emails from bass players from around the world (though we can only realistically have a bassist from the UK), and we want to thank everyone for taking the time out to contact us, and the people who came to jam with us. We only had a certain amount of time to actually audition/jam with bass players before the upcoming tours, to get time in for rehearsing the songs, getting visas sorted etc.

"Our new bass player goes by the name Joel Graham. He's an excellent, experienced bass player, and a really nice guy. We'd all appreciate it if you gave him a warm welcome to the band, as this must be a bizarre situation for him to be in also. We'll be getting some photos taken with him soon so you can see us with Joel, we just wanted to get the news out there that we have a new bassist, and that we thank each and every person for auditioning. Mike would be honoured at the amount of respect and admiration you expressed to us through contacting us."
