ATP! Album Review: The Bronx – IV
It would be tempting to think that punk and mariachi are separate entities, but The Bronx have proven their musical flexibility in the past by producing three albums of the former genre and two albums of the latter. Their fourth punk effort sees Matt Caughthran and the gang that aren’t actually from the Bronx tackle their flagship genre once more.The sound of The Bronx is undeniably fun, and first track ‘The Unholy Hand’ introduces that perfectly in every instrument - from the guitars shooting out riffs that warrant an instant grin to the vocals that mash catchiness and gravel in a way that can just do no wrong. In fact, there’s a lot about The Bronx that calls back to the grunge movement of Nirvana and The Pixies; ‘Too Many Devils’ for example, sounds like it could have been taken from In Utero. This takes nothing away from the music however, it’s powerful, it has a killer hook and from start to finish it’s captivating as all hell.

The Bronx have announced they have started working on their new album. The band posted the following message on Facebook:"we are currently putting together the pieces for what will soon be our fourth eponymous effort. thats right, champ. The Bronx (IV) is well under way.

Refused Announce San Francisco Club Show w/ The Bronx
Refused have announced they will play a club show at The Warfield in San Francisco on April 18th with support to come from The Hives and The Bronx.Tickets go on sale Friday, January 20th at 10am local time.

The Bronx Announce Kingston Show
The Bronx have announced a show at The Peel, Kingston on August 8th.Tickets are £10 and can be purchased through Banquet Records from this Friday (June 17th).
The Bronx, Living With Lions, Sonic Boom Six and More Added to Hevy Festival 2011
The Bronx have been announced as the Sunday headliners on the Rock Sound x Macbeth Stage at this year's Hevy Festival.In addition Living With Lions, Sonic Boom Six, Flood of Red, Paige, Turbogeist, Marmozets, and Straight Lines have been added.
Whilst other new bands announced include Acoda, Autumn In Disguise, Floods, Hill Valley High, MakeThisRelate, Page 44, Steel Rules Die, The Bottlenex, The Hype Theory, and The Ocean Between Us.

New Found Glory, The Blackout, Face To Face and More Announced for Glasgow's Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation Festival
New Found Glory, The Blackout, Face To Face, Flogging Molly, and The Bronx/Mariachi El Bronx will be playing individual headline shows in August as part of Glasgow's Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation Festival.The festival is set take place around various venues in Glasgow from August 22nd to August 29th.
More shows are expected to be announced soon.

El Bronx Update
The Bronx's Mariachi alter ego El Bronx have given update."The records been done for a while now, hopefully it's gonna come out in like early or mid summer. It's a really really important record; it's the best thing I've ever done. It's all original music, traditional mariachi stuff, and it's the punkest thing in the world for a band like The Bronx to put out a record like that. I think the first El Bronx tour when the record comes out is going to be El Bronx and the Hold Steady. It a whole different outlet – we can go tour with band The Bronx couldn't go on tour with."
