Tyler Carter Discusses Possibility Of Joining Isles & Glaciers
Tyler Carter has revealed in a new interview there is a possibility of him joining Isles and Glaciers, but doesn't want to get people's hopes up as there are no plans anytime soon.Check out an excerpt from the interview below.
"There's been lots of speculation about Isles & Glaciers recently, and a lot of people have said you're in their future. Have you ever been asked to be a part of the band?
Well, me and Craig Owens are pretty good friends. We've lost connection since I've been doing my thing and he's been doing his, but we definitely struck a conversation about Isles & Glaciers a couple times, and I wanted to go forward with writing that, but like I said - I've been doing my thing and he's been doing his. So it's not in the works, but again, the sky's the limit in this industry. It's definitely a possibility, but it's not planned, so I don't want people to get their hopes up."
Tyler Carter Confirms No Plans To Join Isles And Glaciers
Despite the recent rumors surfacing online, Alter The Press can officially confirm that ex-Woe, Is Me frontman Tyler Carter is not aware of Isles and Glaciers and has not been asked to join the band.Carter's management commented:
"We know nothing about I&G and Tyler has not officially been asked to participate."
Craig Owens Talks Possible New Isles & Glaciers Record
Craig Owens revealed in a new interview the possibility of a new Isles & Glaciers record.An excerpt from the interview can be read below:
Someone wanted to know, would you be open to doing another Isles & Glaciers EP with just Vic [Fuentes] as the other vocalist? Obviously Jonny [Craig] isn’t in the right place right now to be doing music…
I’m not really sure, there’s been murmurs though between all of us involved — B South [Brian Southall], Myself, Matt, Mike, Nick, and Vic. Unfortunately Jonny isn’t in a good place to do that, and I hope he gets better, because the kid is so talented and he could have the world in the palm of his hand if he just did it the right way; my thoughts go out to him and his family, because I can only imagine what they’re going through right now, it’s going to be difficult.
Ultimately, it all comes down to passion though; we all need to be passionate and stoked on it, or else it’s going to be difficult to put something like this together. Would it just be Vic and I? No, we would throw someone else into the equation probably.
Is there anyone you would have in mind to fill that spot?
No; you know, we’ve tossed the idea around to see if we could put it back together, but that was just to see if we could do anything…there’s no set plans right now. The best thing about something like Isles & Glaciers is that it was a group of people that knew what they were getting into when they did it. It was about people that had 10 days, 7 or 8 of my closest friends, put them in a room, some people didn’t know each other, and that was part of the experiment fun part of it.
Another great thing about Isles & Glaciers is that it’s not too planned, but we still have to be passionate about doing it, and everybody has their own thing going on: Pierce The Veil, what we’ve got going on, and what B-South has going on, a band called The Company We Keep with Justin from Motion City Soundtrack. Everyone has their own thing, and if Isles & Glaciers happens again, it’ll be done the right way — if Jonny is in a better place to be involved, he will be…if not, we’ll get someone else.
Isles and Glaciers Not Finished?
According to an interview with Pierce The Veil, Isles and Glaciers; the group who's members includes Craig Owens (Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows), Jonny Craig (Emarosa/Dance Gavin Dance) and more is not finished.Pierce The Veil vocalist Vic said:
"It’s kind of weird because I always talk to other members, and they’re like “come on, we should do something, you know” and like we’re thinking about it. It’s just like so hard to get everyone in one place at the same time, you know? But it’s definitely not something we’re ruling out completely. We want to do it, it’s just a matter of trying to make it happen. If it can actually happen."

Album Review: Isles & Glaciers - The Hearts Of Lonely People
Isles and Glaciers is a project that goes back as far as 2008. With an EP that has taken three quarters of a year to bring out since being finished, this American supergroup featuring members of Emarosa, Dance Gavin Dance and Emarosa amongst others have a lot to live up to with the amount of hype this project has harnessed. The EP begins with a separate track that serves as an introduction for the storming ‘Hills Like White Elephants’ a song that introduces the EP with a demand for attention, the interchanging vocals are brilliant, in a band with so many members, you may fear that there may be a fight for attention of sorts, but it all weaves together, with each member taking his turn.
