Skiba made the following statement:
"Creating a record on my own and deciding who plays and how the songs were structured, it was fun to do. I love working with my band-mates in Alk3 but to make a rock record that was just mine was something that I wanted to do."

AFI Not Broken Up; Statement Is Fake

"That's not dave. The band haven't broken up. Someone is just screwing around."
As previously reported: Davey Havok of AFI has announced the band have called it a day.
Havok made the following statement:
"This is the end. Sorry, but AFI is done.
After more than 15 years of being together, we as a band have decided to disband A.F.I.
Me and Jade will still continue the Blaqk Audio project but there will be no more A.F.I albums or shows. We have matured and have other things in life that we would like to attend to. Please forgive us for the random statement but it was something we were thinking of for a while.
We will post a more detailed statement soon, keep your eyes peeled!
xoxo"

Hunter spoke to ATP about the response to 'Crash Love', being the vegan ambassador for Macbeth shoes, his forthcoming side-project with Tegan Quin, plagiarism and more.
Alter The Press: How is it to be back and, playing your first headline shows since 2006?
Hunter Burgan (bass): It feels good; I just wish we came here more often. I just feel bad because it'll be, sometimes, three years between playing shows, and I wish we could do more but it's kind of unrealistic, if we take as long as we do, to write and record records. This is one of the first places outside of the United States where we have really good shows; it's definitely home from home.
