Cartel Forced To Cancel Australia Tour
Cartel have been forced to cancel their upcoming tour in Australia. The band have made the following statement:
"Hey everybody,
Bad news is never easy to put into simple phrases; but, unfortunately, I must do my best. It is with a heavy heart that we must relay the news that we are forced to cancel our Australian ‘In Stereo’ tour. The promoter we were going through completely screwed everything up and there’s no way to rectify the mistakes that were made in time to make it happen. We had been trying to finalize flights/permits/backline (all of which the promoter was to handle) for over 2 months and only heard from him intermittently (and never with any real information), until recently when we didn’t hear at all. We apologize for all the headaches and bum outs that this will cause and we’re frantically looking for ways to make it up to all our friends in Australia. It’s sad that one person in the chain blew it for everyone involved but it just so happens to be the case.
We’re working out the info for everyone who purchased tickets to get full refunds and hopefully we can schedule another tour soon. In the meantime, we’ll be working on some new tunes and getting ready for the run with Hot Rod Circuit in a few weeks. This is the first time we’ve ever had to cancel a tour and it sucks that it has to be one that we were looking forward to so much but we assure you that it was beyond our control. Thank you all for your understanding and we’ll be distributing more info as it gets to us. Sorry once again.“

""From Mark. Tom & Travis: It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce our planned 2011 European Summer tour has been rescheduled. When we booked the tour last year, we were confident that we would have the new album out before the Summer. Turns out we were mistaken as the album is taking longer than we thought and won't be out till later this year. We hoped we would have some new songs to play rather than do another 'greatest hits tour' which you all saw last Summer. As much as we know our fans would be cool with that, we feel that we owe you guys something new when you spend your money to come see us. Frankly, it's what needs to continue for us to remain vital. The three of us are working very hard to do what we set out to do when we re-formed...get a new blink-182 album recorded. Apologies to all of our fans who have bought tickets and were looking forward to the Summer shows but we'll be back soon with the rescheduled dates in Summer 2012, have a new album out and be able to play new songs for you all. Thanks for all of the continued support and understanding. The rescheduled dates are on our website (www.blink182.com) and are listed below.

to postpone our upcoming European tour dates. The chaos of the inclement
weather this winter has made purchasing and changing flights nearly impossible
both financially and in keeping with our routing. Our European agent
has suggested that we postpone the tour until May so we can do festivals as well
as our tour when this nasty winter is through and that’s exactly what we will
do! We are and have always been a working class band and we have never had to do
this. We are hopeful you all understand, we have no other choice. We are still
getting details, but we are being told refunds will be given at point of
purchase. Again, we are terribly sorry and we will see you all in May.
